Local accountants MLMG of Buncrana say the National Minimum Wage for the UK and Northern Ireland has gone up. The minimum wage for adults has now increased to £6.31 . The rise,  first announced in April of this year,  follows the recommendations of the UK’s Low Pay Commission.

Other changes include the following:

  1. The rate for 18-to-20-year-olds has increased by 5p to £5.03 an hou
  2. The Minimum Wage for the 16-to-17-year-old age group has now gone up by 4p to £3.72
