Inis Communications is run by director Trish Hegarty. After 14 years in the print and broadcast industries – mainly The Irish Times and the BBC – Trish set up Inis Communications, a PR and Social Media agency serving clients in Donegal and Derry in particular, and across the island of Ireland and the UK.
At Inis Communications, we do PR for print, broadcast and online media, and offer website content and social media packages for a range of organisations and small businesses.
Trish spent almost 8 years working as a producer, presenter, and reporter with the BBC: Interviewing, reporting, researching, writing, editing, presenting and producing news bulletins and programmes . This gave her an expert understanding of how the news agenda works, and of the editorial decision-making process. It also gave her the perfect writing skills for website and social media content. She has retained her contacts across news, current affairs, features and general programming.
Before she worked at the BBC, Trish spent four years writing exclusively for Ireland’s leading quality broadsheet paper, The Irish Times, in the newsroom, business and features departments and maintains her contact with editors and correspondents there. She’s also done contract work with RTE news and features programming, and has worked with John Bowman, Pat Kenny, Marian Finucane and senior producers at RTE.
Trish’s media experience and what is now 13 years PR experience is the key strength behind Inis Communications and the quality of services associated with the agency. Inis Communications also works with a range of individuals and agencies to offer services in complementary areas such as design, web development, video, and consultancy services. Key partners include Ruby Rose Creative, NetSpace, Big Fish, Emick Design, McVeigh Digital, Full Tilt Studios, and Grant Connections.
